The fourth Group of Friends meeting on IOM’s Essentials of Migration Management (EMM2.0) programme was convened on 4 May 2022. The event, hosted by the Permanent Mission of Canada, was held in a hybrid format with various participants joining virtually.

Comprised of 20+ representatives of Geneva-based Permanent Missions, the Group of Friends was established in 2019 to ensure EMM2.0 is designed in ways that are impactful, sustainable and relevant to Member States. Members of the Group have provided inputs on the strategic development, effective implementation and promotion of the programme.

At the event, the programme team presented the final functionalities of the EMM2.0 e-Platform, including its online resources and training programme. The presentation was followed by an interactive Q&A session.

Participants noted the relevance of the EMM2.0 programme on the work of migration policymakers. They will continue providing meaningful inputs, as well as opportunities for attracting website users and training audiences.
