Clear information, communicated transparently, is key to make migration more orderly and manageable. It also increases awareness of the basis for migration policy and initiatives. How do we ensure an accurate understanding of migration? What can governments do to lay the ground for a more balanced public discourse? What role does the media play? How do recent developments in digital technology and social media impact the ways migration is communicated?

It also explains the media landscape in the context of migration as well as the prevalent pro- and anti-migration narratives today.
