Introduction
International migration is always a cross-border issue, and so involves multiple States. There are many different ways that States engage with each other to find coordinated approaches to the challenges and opportunities posed by changing patterns of migration. This chapter outlines some of the key forms of such engagements, including bilateral and multilateral cooperation and key initiatives at the regional and global levels.
