Training Description
Following a training for Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) parliamentarians, a training-of-trainers (TOT) was held to establish a pool of competent facilitators who will be able to effectively adapt the EMM2.0 curriculum according to the national and regional contexts. It aimed at capacitating participants in order to train other parliamentarians on the content of EMM2.0 and especially priority migration issues identified as important in each country.
Audience
Twenty policy officers with capacity development function within the SADC Parliament and Parliamentary Forum (PF) as well as IOM staff from IOM Missions in Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
Learning Objectives
- Learn about facilitation skills and interactive training methodologies
- Familiarize themselves with the EMM2.0 training content and curriculum
- Practice delivering EMM2.0 modules while benefiting from peer-to-peer feedback and inputs from expert trainer
- Start a community of EMM2.0 trainers providing regular feedback on the learning materials and their implementations
